Wicked Random Celebrity Beef Stitches refers to a trend on TikTok in which users upload stitches to a video by TikToker bloatflygirl in which she asks if anyone has any “wicked random celebrity beef” to share. After the beginning of bloatflygirl’s video plays, the TikToker then shares their instance of a negative celebrity interaction, whether in person or over social media.
On October 27th, 2020, TikToker bloatflygirl uploaded a video in which she asks if anyone has any “wicked random celebrity beef,” and then tells a story about how she and Bob Saget have had negative interactions on Twitter for years, resulting in him blocking her at least twice (shown below, left). The video gained over 1.3 million views in 2 weeks. That same day, TikTokers began stitching with the clip, often cutting it off after bloatflygirl asks if anyone has any beef to share (example from October 27th shown below, right).
On October 30th, TikToker catalinaacat uploaded a Stitch to bloatflygirl’s video in which she tells a story about her security guard brother pushing Leonardo Dicaprio out of a restricted elevator (shown below, left). The video gained over 4.1 million views in 2 weeks. On the same day, unluckyp1ckle uploaded a stitch describing a beef with Vampire Diaries actor Matthew Davis (shown below, right). The video gained over 2.7 million views in the same span of time.
On October 31st, YouTube and TikTok star Trisha Paytas uploaded a stitch to bloatflygirl’s video in which she describes a bad experience on the Tyra Banks Show (shown below, left). The video gained over 1.8 million views in 10 days. Paytas continued to upload stitches to bloatflygirl’s video over the next week, using it a total of 14 times as of November 10th to describe various celebrity encounters (example shown below, right). On November 1st, bloatflygirl uploaded a video expressing shock and excitement regarding the number of times Paytas used the sound.
